Use my email address

This guide shows you how to connect to your UNG mailbox and use it properly to send and receive emails. It also explains how you will use this mailbox.

Warning

Never share your email address password with anyone. If you forget your password password, contact the administration directly using the option “Contact Us”.

I. What is your UNG email address for?

Your UNG email address is intended to be used exclusively for your studies at the Digital University from Gabon. You should therefore not use it for any other purpose. This address belongs to you and will remain active until the end of your studies at UNG.

You will mainly use it to:

- Access your student space;
- Receive information from the administration, your teachers and tutors;
- Access the virtual classroom (by videoconference);
- Communicate with other students;
- Stay informed of the news of the establishment: educational, scientific, associative, cultural, institutional, ...

II. How to get your email address?

Your email address is automatically sent to you by the administration upon validation of your registration. At the same time, you will receive a password to use for your first connection to your mailbox with instructions to follow. If you have not received your email address, please report it to the administration using the option "Contact Us”.


III. How to access your email address?

a. Go to “www.ung.ga

b. Click on the link "Webmail Access" (at the top of the page) to access your mailbox.


c. Enter your UNG email credentials provided by the administration to log in

- Enter your UNG email address in the "Username" field

- Enter your password in the "Password" field

- Click the "LOGIN " button to login.


IV. Use your email address via Webmail

a. Organization of Webmail

1. This section groups the different folders of your email

- In "Inbox" you will find all the emails you have received

- In "Drafts" you will find all mails that are in drafts

- In "Sent" you will find all the mails you have sent

- In "Spam" you will find all spam mails

- In "Deleted items" you will find all the mails you have deleted


2. This section displays the contents of the selected folder


3. Click the "Refresh" button to refresh the mails


b. Read an email

To read your email, click on the email you want to read and its content will be displayed on the right


c. Send an email

When you want to send an email:

1. Click on "Compose "

2. Fill in the email address(es) of the recipient(s)

3. Fill in the subject of your email

4. Fill in the content of your email

5. Click on "Attach file" to attach a file to your email

6. Click "Save" if you want to save the email to your draft and continue it further late

7. Click "Send" to send the email.


d. Reply to an email

1. Select the email you would like to reply to by clicking on it

2. Click "Reply" or "Reply all" to reply to the selected email

3. Click on "Forward" to forward the selected email to a third party


e. Change my password

To change your password:

1. Click on "Settings "

2. Click on "Password "

3. Enter your new password

4. Enter the same password again

5. Click "Save" to save the password

N. B.: The password must contain at least 8 characters (letters, numbers and special characters confused)


f. Change language

1. Click on "Settings "

2. Click on "Preferences "

3. Click on "User Interface "

4. Select the language you want to use instead of English

5. Click "Save" to save your changes
